We are looking for a Senior Project Manager whose duties will be mainly related to the management of site investigation projects from inception to completion.
You will be required to work on Concept’s sites located mainly in London and the South East of England.
You will be required to deliver the investigations safely, to meet specification requirements and within programme and budget constraints. As part of your duties, you will be required to review CPPs and RAMS, manage resource requirements, manage site activities and liaise with all parties.
Throughout your role, you will develop relationships with new and existing clients to promote Concept’s capabilities and increase our opportunities for new business. You will be involved in promoting innovation and technical excellence within the company and the industry.
Key tasks are, but are not limited to below. You will be undertaking these activities and mentoring and training staff members in these activities:
- Management of Projects.
- Approval of project specific RAMs and Programmes of Works including financial and cost programmes
- Ensuring that fieldwork is adequately supervised and managed in accordance with safety, quality and commercial targets and objectives.
- Ensuring that technical and data quality is maintained on your projects.
- Overseeing and mentoring soil and rock logging to current standards
- Compilation and issue of Applications for Payment and management of Compensation Events
- Approval of project deliverables such as data and reports
- Liaising with Clients and sub-contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Assisting the bid department in pricing projects and seeking new opportunities.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering / Earth Sciences or relevant subject.
- Masters in Environmental /Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology desirable
- Preferred completion of health and safety training schemes such as CSCS (Manager level), SMSTS, CDM 2015 Regulations etc.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 10 to 15 years of previous relevant industry experience
- Chartered Geologist/ Engineer an advantage
- Confident and knowledgeable of various site investigation techniques
- Excellent awareness of ground investigation specifications, procedures, techniques, British Standards, Eurocode 7 and codes of practice, ICE and NEC contracts and the effective administration of them
- Experience of data presentation using borehole logging software packages and report compilation
- Computer literate and competent in use of MS Office to create spreadsheets and documents for effective reporting, communication and record keeping
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent IT skills – extensive knowledge of electronic mail and MS Office applications and geotechnical databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels

- Full clean driving license
